The Q3 has been one of the most successful SUV nameplates for Audi in India. Ever since its debut, it has sold epic volumes here. However, the Q3 was discontinued during the BS6 transition. Even though it had made its global debut in 2019, the second generation Q3 took some time in reaching the Indian shores.
2022 Audi Q3: Key Highlights
The new Q3 has grown in size. It is larger than the vehicle it replaces and looks bolder with distant visual resemblances to the new Q7. Key design highlights include sleeker LED headlamps, larger front grille with fresh-looking elements, good-looking bumper designs, and 18-inch wheels. There are a total of five exterior colorways on offer- Mythos Black, Pulse Orange, Chronos Grey, Glacier White, and Navarra Blue.

The new SUV ‘s interior has been redesigned and feels more luxurious than before. The room inside is said to have improved alongside the comfort offered. An integrated 10.1 inch touchscreen replaces the floating screen on the previous car. The climate control buttons are all physical and all the more convenient. Other features on the inside include 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, two-zone climate control, park assist and reverse camera, ambient lighting, wireless charger, and gesture control for the tailgate.
2022 Audi Q3 is built on the improved VW MQB platform that also underpins the present day Skoda Kodiaq and VW Tiguan. As expected from modern day VW Group cars, the new Q3 is a petrol-only product powered by the same 2.0L, four cylinder, turbo-petrol that is seen under the hoods of Tiguan, Kodiaq, and even the larger Audi Q5(!). On the Q3, this engine produces 190 hp and 320 Nm. A 7-DCT and Quattro AWD system are standard too. Audi claims it to do the 0-100 kph run in 7.3 seconds.
2022 Audi Q3 Rivals
The second generation Q3 would have a familiar set of competitors in India. It will battle the likes of the new Mercedes Benz GLA, updated BMW X1 and Volvo XC40.
