Kawasaki KLX450 holds a high reputation in the off-road motorcycle scene
Kawasaki has launched in India, the new 2022 KLX450R at a price of Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which means the new model costs ₹50,000 more than the previous one. Available in Limegreen color, the dual-sport gets a new set of decals as well. Like its predecessor, 2022 KLX450R is coming to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
It comes with a new compact digital instrumentation cluster that has a speedometer, dual trip meters, odometer, and a clock. For rapid restarts, the bike gets an electric starter along with the traditional Kickstarter. Another notable bit is the LED rear lamp cluster.
Kawasaki has retained the 449 CC, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Single-cylinder engine but in a carefully reworked form, where there is better low-end torque to assist the riders in challenging terrains. It is mated to a 5-speed transmission.The off-roader has its suspensions improved, for better experiences on long rides. The new KLX450R has upside-down forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear. The brakes are petal discs at both wheels.
Weighing 126 kilograms, KLX 450 R has a 1,480 mm wheelbase and ground clearance of 315 mm. The aluminum chassis is 935mm in height and the fuel tank can hold a good 8 liters.
