Hyundai Exter Rear Design

The rear side of the Exter also follows Hyundai’s new design philosophy. The front and side profiles of the SUV were revealed earlier by the company. In terms of the rear design, the most notable element is the thick black trim that spans the tailgate, connecting the LED tail lamps at both ends. The brand logo is positioned in the centre, and the contrasting black trim has a textured finish. The tail lights also feature an ‘H’ lighting signature, similar to the DRLs in the front. The car’s rear end appears upright, and the well-sculpted elements complement its stance. The rear bumper has a dual-tone theme with black cladding and a faux silver skid plate. The rear reflectors are neatly housed on the cladding.

Hyundai Exter Specifications

Hyundai Exter will be equipped with a 1.2L four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 83hp and 114Nm of torque, borrowed directly from the new i10 NIOS. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. Additionally, a CNG manual will also be available. The Exter shares its platform with the Grand i10 Nios and Aura.

Hyundai Exter Features

The upcoming micro SUV will have an interesting array of features and equipment. Hyundai has confirmed a dual-camera dashcam on the car. It will also come with 6 airbags on all variants and an electronic sunroof in the higher ones. Other significant features include ABS with EBD, ESC, HAC, keyless entry, rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps, etc.

Hyundai Exter Variants, Launch Date And Booking

The Hyundai Exter will be available in five variants – EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Bookings for the SUV are open at Rs. 11,000, and deliveries are expected to begin by the end of July. The main rivals of the Exter upon launch will be the Tata Punch, Maruti Ignis, and Citroen C3.

Hyundai Exter Expected Price

While we have had no clear information about this, reliable sources suggest that Hyundai Exter prices could start at around 6 lakh, ex-showroom. Going by the fact that this is a Grand i10 NIOS derivative and the way Hyundai has priced the hatchback here, this quote makes ample sense.
