Mahindra XUV 700 has had significant price hikes after the first day
Mahindra had started accepting bookings for the all-new Mahindra XUV 700 on October 7, 2021. The SUV seems to have taken the markets by storm, and recorded 25,000 bookings in just 57 minutes! In other words, it took less than an hour to sell off 6 months’ production! Mahindra had paused bookings following the same. On the second day, the portal began accepting reservations for a small span of time. In hardly 2 hours’ time, another 25,000 units were reserved. The total bookings for the XUV thus crossed the 50k mark.
Overwhelmed by the response, Mahindra tweeted some shocking numbers. As it goes, the carmaker seems to have sold cars worth Rs 9,500 crores (ex-sh) in under 3 hours, over the past two days.
The second batch, the one that was up for sale on October 8, 2021, had price hikes of Rs 10000-50000 gone into them, as the earlier introductory prices were all applicable to just the first 25,000 cars alone. As of now, the XUV 700 MX is priced in the Rs 12.49-12.99 lakh range. The XUV 700 AX price at present is 14.49-22.99 lakh. As evident, it is the recently launched AX7 Luxury AT AWD (Diesel) that has had the least hike.
