Here’s a true-bred, capable off-road bike under 2 lakh!
Hero Motocorp has launched the new Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition in the country. We’ve known and loved the Rally kit on the Xpulse, which rendered unmatched off-roading and rallying abilities to the motorcycle. The Xpulse Rally Edition gets most of the Rally kit with regular CEAT tyres. Here are top 4 things you should know about this motorcycle.
- Design
The Xpulse Rally Edition gets enough design deviations to make it stand clear from being mistaken for the standard motorcycle and to boost the overall capabilities. It gets an exclusive ‘Rally Code’ colorway, inspired heavily by Hero’s Dakar livery. Cementing the connection further, is the autograph of Hero’s factory Dakar rider CS Santosh which sits elegantly on the body panels. Also, the cylinder heads are finished in Red. - Tyres And Suspension
While the Xpulse Rally kit gets off-road spec block pattern Maxxis tyres which are evidently better on terrains, the Rally edition settles for regular CEAT rubber as the standard motorcycle.
The suspension has been extensively reworked and feels almost like a proper rally kit now, with a set of bigger 37mm front forks at the front and a better rear mono-shock. Courtesy of these, the Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition has 270mm of ground clearance and 885mm seat height. The motorcycle also gets taller handlebar risers, an extended gear lever, and a taller side stand.
3. Engine Output
The Rally Edition gets no changes in its engine output figures, from the standard motorcycle. It continues to be powered by the same 199cc single-cylinder engine that produces 19.1 PS and 17.35 Nm. It offers more low-end grunt and good reliability.
4. Booking And Price
Hero XPulse Rally Edition is priced at Rs 1.52 lakh (Ex-showroom). The standard Xpulse 200 4V has an ex-sh price of Rs 1.32 lakh, meaning the Rally Edition demands a premium of just Rs 20,000. The full-blown Rally kit on the other hand, is expensive by Rs 46000. Xpulse Rally Edition thus offers an unmatched value proposition for the price.
Hero Motocorp has begun taking in bookings for the motorcycle. You can book yours via the Hero website till July 29, 2022.
