TVS NTorq 125 is the key rival to the updated Hero Maestro Edge
Hero Maestro Edge 125 has just got a major revamp in India. The updated Maestro Edge 125 gets key styling tweaks, more equipment, new colors and is now priced from Rs 72,250 (ex-showroom). there are a total of three variants on offer- Maestro Edge with Drum brakes (Rs 72,250), with disc brakes (Rs 76,500), and the Maestro Edge Connected (Rs 79,750). With the updated features and the revamped prices, the Maestro Edge 125 now strikes a sharper blow at the TVS NTorq 125.
2021 Hero Maestro Edge 125 Connected: What’s Different?
The major cosmetic changes on the 2021 Maestro Edge 125 are the retouched front apron, new graphics, sharper lines and an all-new LED projector headlamp, which also happens to be a segment-first offering. The turn indicators come smoked and the color palette has been revised as well. There are two new colors available on the ‘Connected’ variant- Prismatic Yellow and Prismatic Purple. The disc variant is available in six colors and the drum variant in 4 colors.
There have been numerous feature additions and equipment upgrades on the Maestro Edge Connected. The scooter now gets a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and support for the Hero Connect app. This cluster gets a digital speedometer, a neat display of vital rider information like real-time mileage, trip meter, eco indicator, and low fuel warning. This system can be paired with smartphones via Bluetooth, facilitating the likes of turn-by-turn navigation, miss call alerts, incoming call alerts etc. If you might remember, Hero had recently launched this cluster on the Glamour XTec.
Mechanicals Untouched!
Almost everything on the mechanical front remains untouched. The scooter continues to be powered by the same 125cc BS6 compliant, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine capable of churning out 9PS and 10.4 Nm. Spring-loaded hydraulic rear damper and front telescopic units continue to take care of the suspension duties.
