The Thar Roxx will launch on August 15th
Mahindra has unveiled a new colour option for the upcoming Thar 5 door, revealing more design details. Mahindra Thar Roxx White and Black colourways look good and add more to anticipations. The five-door lifestyle SUV will launch on August 15, 2024.
The manufacturer has shared pictures of the White and Black colourways on its social media handles. Though there is no official speak on it yet, this could be the ‘Everest White’ paint which we have seen previously on the 3-door Thar.
Images show a White coloured Thar Roxx with a body-coloured grille. This makes for a very shouty design. The SUV is expected to feature key design deviations from the 3 door. Previous spy shots had revealed the side view of the Roxx. Mahindra too has lately been revealing the SUV’s design through various social media posts.
The cabin will have ample room and class-leading equipment. Expect a bigger touchscreen, fully-digital instrument cluster, leather upholstery, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, level 2 ADAS etc.
The Thar Roxx will be underpinned by a lighter version of the 3G platform that also forms the base of Mahindra Scorpio N. It could come with 1.5 diesel, 2.2 diesel and 2.0 turbo petrol engines and manual and automatic gearboxes. More details about this will surface in the upcoming days.
In the Indian market, the Thar Roxx will compete with the Suzuki Jimny and Gurkha 5 door. With its long list of features and equipment, the Roxx could easily outsmart these. We’ll be able to talk more on this, post launch.
