The Kia Carnival finally enters its fourth generation and looks absolutely stunning in the new shape!
Kia Carnival is the marque’s flagship MPV offering. This stylish minivan has a fair fan following globally. Kia Motors has now revealed the 2021 Kia Carnival and it looks absolutely stunning. The Carnival is set to enter its fourth generation and gets an all-new persona there. It is retailed as the Kia Sedona in some foreign markets.
Kia likes to call it the ‘Grand Utility Vehicle’ (maybe the GUV!) as it has grown a fair bit on the design and luxury fronts. The shape has now been redrawn to flaunt more solidity and style. The Carnival now looks more SUV-ish than a conventional minivan. The vehicle has grown in size, thanks to the hike in its wheelbase. There is now a bigger hood and a more solid-looking silhouette on offer. The A and B pillars have been blacked out to give the car what Kia calls an ‘island roofing’. The C pillar comes inspired by the Sorento. The overall design feels edgier than before.
The headlight gets a unique design theme with the high beams sitting integrated into the tiger-nose grille and the low beams being separate entities. There are even LED DRLs on offer. The rear gets full-width lines hosting the tail lamp cluster magnificently in them. There is even a lower metallic skid plate. To our eyes, this looks more like a Telluride now!
The in-cabin experience is hoped to get more luxurious in the new model. The Carnival 2021 is also expected to get a hybrid powertrain as well, comprising a 2.0L four-cylinder petrol mill mated to an electric motor. The details of these are yet to surface.
