Atul Auto hopes to harvest maximum out of the rural market, through the initiative
E-commerce is witnessing phenomenal traction in India. Even the rural areas are slowly shifting to the digital model of business. Thus, listing a product on an e-commerce website/ e-store is currently the best way for an OEM to maximize their exposure and lead generations. Rajkot-based three-wheeler manufacturer Atul Auto has just done the same. It has partnered with CSC Grameen e Store, an e-commerce initiative by CSC eGovernance Services Ltd to promote online businesses in rural areas. Atul Auto Ltd is in fact, the first three-wheeler OEM to adopt this model.
The entire range of the manufacturer would be listed for sale on CSC Grameen e-store and made available to potential customers in remote outskirts and distant villages, through aspirational VLEs (Village Level Entrepreneurs). Think of the VLEs as sort of hyper-local retailers who will list the products on Grameen e-stores, promote them, generate leads, and further ahead achieve conversions, making the products delivered to the end customer, with the help of the nearest Atul Auto dealerships.

The manufacturer also claims to have mapped a bunch of capable VLEs pan India for the same and also assures full backup to the customers through its 500 touch-points spread across 22 states. Atul Auto Ltd currently has three-wheelers with CNG, LPG, diesel, and even electric powertrains on sale. The passenger and cargo segments combined, there are 20+ models on the portfolio.
