Audi Opens Bookings For The New Audi Q3 Sportback In India

The Q3 Sportback will be the first coupe SUV in its segment!

Audi India has begun accepting bookings for its new SUV coupe, the Q3 Sportback, for a token amount of INR 2 lakh. The Q3 Sportback is essentially the coupe version of the outgoing Q3, and it is a first in its segment. Its mechanicals and interior styling are quite similar to those of the standard Q3.

The triangular air intakes and hexagonal grille with honeycomb patterns distinguish the Q3 Sportback from the regular car. It also has a sloping roofline and 10-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Q3 Sportback is 36mm longer, 6mm narrower, and 49mm shorter than the regular SUV, measuring 4,518mm in length, 1,843mm in width, and 1,558mm in height. Audi offers five paint options, including a new Turbo Blue.

On the inside, the Q3 Sportback features a similar layout to the standard Q3, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and the Audi Virtual Cockpit. It offers two interior color options- Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige. Other features include a 10-speaker audio system, wireless charger, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. Safety kit on offer includes six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Unlike the standard Q3, the Sportback does not have advanced driver-assist features.

‘Similar to the standard Q3, the Q3 Sportback’s 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine generates 190 horsepower and 320 Nm and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and AWD. According to Audi, the Sportback accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h.

Audi Q3 Sportback is expected to be priced higher than the standard Q3, which currently retails in the Rs 44.89- 50.39 lakh range (ex-showroom, India). The coupe, when launched in India, would have no direct rival. The closest competitor- Mercedes GLC coupe sits a segment above!
