Citroen C5 Aircross Coming In April 2021!

The C5 Aircross will be the Citroen’s first product for India

The French car manufacturer, Citroen will debut its first model for India, the C5 Aircross by April 2021. In 2016, Groupe PSA had announced its come back to the Indian market and eventually after 4 years, the carmaker is all set to launch the premium 5 seater SUV in India.

The SUV has been spotted a couple of times testing, uncamouflaged, and in the production-ready form. The C5 Aircross will be built at Groupe PSA’s manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamilnadu.

The bewitching premium SUV features, a split headlamp and grille design. Further enhancing the looks are the stylish front bumpers, ravishing machine cut alloy wheels and blacked-out pillars and roof rails. Lighting jobs are done by LEDs all around which adds a more premium feel to this premium SUV.

Although the equipment list of Indian version aren’t known, the international model comes loaded with an array of features including, 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control air-con, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate with gesture control, e-parking brake and up to 6 airbags.

The C5 Aircross is likely to be powered by a 2.0L turbo diesel putting out 176hp snd 400Nm of torque. Despite every other manufacturer being inclined towards turbo-petrol engines, a petrol motor for the C5 isn’t on the cards as of now.

The price of the French SUV is expected to fall in the range of INR 25-30 lakh and will compete against the like of Jeep Compass.
