A few days after being spied on the streets, we have the India entry of the Ranger Raptor confirmed
Strong rumours have surfaced on the internet suggesting that Ford would import its extremely capable pickup truck, the Ranger Raptor to India as CBU. The pickup is basically a downsized version of the bigger, badder F-150 Raptor. Following this very buoyant news, the truck was spotted earlier in Mohali. We are unsure whether the spotted car is a test mule or a private import.
The Ranger Raptor shares its underpinnings with that of the Endeavour, except the engine. While the Endeavour gets a 2.0L diesel engine, the Ranger Raptor gets the same 2.0L diesel with twin-turbo unit onboard and puts out 213 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The truck will feature the same 10 speed automatic transmission as that of the Endeavour.
Ranger Raptor will hit the Indian shores by mid-2021 and will be priced north of Rs. 60 lakh. Ford will only be bringing in very few numbers of this extramundane pickup truck via the 2500-unit homologation-free route.
