Hero Mavrick will be based on the new Harley Davidson X440
Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming flagship motorcycle- Hero Mavrick 440, has been the talk of the Indian motorcycling world for quite some time now. It has been spotted testing on several occasions, leading to a lot of speculation and anticipation. And now, as we get closer to the launch of this motorcycle, Hero MotoCorp has released its first official teaser. This video shows off the silhouette of this motorcycle, giving us a sneak peek at its design.
One of the teaser images shows the bike’s interesting front fascia with a round LED headlight, two small DRLs, a circular, offset instrument cluster, a single-piece tubular handlebar, and telescopic forks.
The teaser also looks at the Hero Mavrick 440’s top view, showing the muscular fuel tank, sharp tank extensions, a single-piece seat, and large rear grab rails. The motorcycle looks more like a stylish roadster, going by the teasers.
The first official teasers also suggest this upcoming Hero motorcycle could feature LED turn indicators, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a new exhaust design.
Essentially, the Hero Mavrick 440 is based on Harley Davidson’s newest product- the X440. It will be powered by the same 440cc Single-cylinder Oil-cooled engine. However, this is expected to be in a different state of tune on the Hero product. To give you more context, this motor produces 27 hp and 38 Nm on the Harley, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Hero Mavrick is expected to come with a host of modern features, such as smartphone connectivity, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, and a USB Charging Port.
Hero Motocorp is expected to launch this motorcycle in India, on January 23, 2024, and it could come with a sub 2 lakh ex-showroom price tag. Key rivals include the X440, Triumph Speed 400 and to some extent, the RE Classic 350.
