Land Rover Builds Defender Works V8 Trophy For The Adventure-Ready!

Just in case if the all new Defender is not your thing …

The all-new Land Rover Defender is selling like hot cake across the globe and is definitely one good example of how yesteryear icons should be rebuilt. However, should you still crave for the shape and stance of the old Defender and its unmatched trail-taking abilities, here’s a good news for you! Jaguar Classic has rebuilt the original Defender, but in extremely limited numbers. Dubbed the Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy, the production of these would be limited to just 25 units and would all be used in an exclusive competition at Eastnor Castle this year. The Trophy edition will be available in both the 90 and 110 body styles.

This vehicle will resemble the 2012-2016 Defender in design, but will have very little in common in terms of engineering. The Defender Works Trophy edition will be powered by a 5.0L petrol V8 putting out a humongous 515 Nm of torque, mated to a new-age 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF. The vehicle also has significant upgrades to its suspension and brakes. Plus, there is also a carefully curated set of off-road spec upgrades. The trail-spec kit includes the likes of a front winch, multi-point expedition cage, roof rack, underbody protection, A-bar, raised air intake, LED spotlights and a set of mud-terrain tyres.

There are also things like LED headlamps, a Heritage front grille, unique Land Rover Trophy badging incorporated into its design and comes finished in a catchy Eastnor Yellow- Narvik Black paint scheme. The cabin gets black Windsor leather upholstery with Recaro sports seats, contrast yellow stitching and a bespoke Land Rover Trophy clock face by Elliot Brown, and an infotainment system with in-built navigation.

Renowned racing driver, stunt driver and Land Rover ambassador Jessica Hawkins will feature in the Defender Works V8 launch film, alongside 1989 event winner Bob Ives and a bunch of other key persons. Land Rover Trophy has a bunch of other eminent sponsors as well.
