11 more special edition helmets will follow, each celebrating a decade of RE
It’s been over 12 decades (120 years) of Royal Enfield in business and to celebrate just the same, RE is planning to launch a series of special edition helmets. A total of 12 designs will be launched, two every week for the next six weeks. Just 120 units of each would be made and all be numbered, to add further to the exclusivity. Each of these designs would be inspired by a poster/advertorial of Royal Enfield from one of the 12 decades in question. New designs will premiere on Monday and Wednesday, and the actual sale will commence on Saturday and Sunday.
All of these pieces would be hand-crafted and hand-painted and the same would reflect in their prices as well. The full-face helmets bear price tags of Rs 8,450 and the half-faces are up for sale for Rs 6,950 each. These, however, are not merely showpieces. The helmets hold triple certification-ISI, DOT, ECE and get premium internals and quality visors too. The first of the line has now been listed for sale on the RE website.
