Mahindra XUV 300 has become the epitome of safety in the Indian market securing 5 star ratings in GNCAP crash tests. Although the SUV couldn’t do well in sales in the past, the story has been different this November. The XUV 300 registered a sales growth of 100%. Mahindra sold 4458 units of the car as opposed to 2224 units in November 2019. This is by far the highest ever year-on-year growth reported for any compact SUV last month.

XUV 300 comes equipped with either a 1.2L 4 pot turbo petrol churning out 110hp and 200Nm of torque or a 1.5L diesel mill producing 116.6hp and 300Nm of torque. The Petrol comes mated to a 6-speed manual while diesel can be opted with either a 6-speed manual or a 6 speed AMT box.

The features and equipment list includes an electric sunroof, 17″ alloys, dual-zone automatic climate control air-con, 7″ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, push-button start/stop, etc.

Being the safest car in the country, XUV 300 gets segment leading 7 airbags, rear parking camera, parking sensors at the front and rear, ESP with roll-over mitigation, corner braking control, ABS with EBD, etc.

The prices for this baby XUV starts at Rs 7.94 lakh and go up to Rs 12.29 lakhs for the fully-loaded variant. XUV 300 competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, and the newly launched Nissan Magnite.
