MG eHS PHEV Showcased At Auto Expo

MG is considering this hybrid electric vehicle for India

Morris Garages (MG) is showcasing the new eHS plug-in hybrid electric vehicle at the 2023 Auto Expo. It’s available in two trims in the international market – Comfort and Luxury. The vehicle is available in two trims in the international market – Comfort and Luxury. It comes in 4 colours, with Phantom Red being the one on the display car.

MG eHS is over 4.5 meters long, 1.8 metres wide, 1.66 meters tall, has a wheelbase 2.7 metres, and has a ground clearance of 145 mm. In terms of design, it’s very similar to pre-facelift MG ZS EV and the MG Astor. It’s a simple and unsophisticated design. On the inside, it gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch central infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather seats, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, electrical adjustability and heating function for the front seats, rear camera, ADAS functions, etc.

In terms of powertrain, it packs a 1.5L GDI turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor to make a combined 258 HP. That’s enough to dispatch the eHS from zero to 100kph in just 6.9 seconds. It features a 16.6 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 52km in pure electric mode. The eHS hybrid is one of the key models that MG is considering for India. The manufacturer is already selling this model in the European markets.
