The electric MPV will have a range of up to 440km
Morris Garages (MG) has debuted the Mifa 9 electric MPV in India, with the 2023 Auto Expo serving as the venue for the occasion. While it came to India under the MG nameplate, it is sold under the SAIC-owned Maxus marquee(Maxus Mifa 9) in the overseas markets.
The term MIFA stands for Maximum, Intelligent, Friendly, and Artistic. It’s over 5.2 meters in length, 2 meters in width, 1.84 meters in height and has a wheelbase of 3.2 meters.
MG Mifa 9 gets a slim strip of LED daytime running lights that run the entire width of the car, a large air dam on the front bumper, chrome detailing, and a taillight that mimics the design of the DRLs.
On the inside, it gets a wide touchscreen that spans the entire width of the dashboard, a two-spoke steering wheel, a floating central console, four captain seats with electric adjustment for the middle and third row, etc. The captain seats in the third row get swapped out for a bench-style setup in the lower variants.
The electric motor on the Mifa 9 is capable of producing 245 HP and 350Nm of Torque. The motor is powered by a 90 kWh battery pack that provides a WLTP-certified range of 440km.
