The festival season that has begun with Kerala’s Onam is hoped to revamp the automotive industry as a whole
Kerala is celebrating the famous Onam festival now. Onam kick starts the festive season in India. This year’s festive season is hoped to give the automotive industry its much-needed revival. The BS6 transition and the associated confusion among the buyers, along with the ongoing pandemic had had great tolls on the automotive sector. Experts suggest that this festive season will see the market revive and sales rise. It seems they are absolutely right as Royal Enfield has just had a stunning milestone in the country.
Royal Enfield just delivered a total of 1000 motorcycles in Kerala alone and in a single day! Royal Enfield currently has 59 dealer outlets and 25 studio stores across Kerala. These stores have together managed to achieve such humongous sales figures. RE had recently hiked prices across the range following the BS6 transition. However, this has had the customer interest totally unaffected, say the sales numbers! Palakkad-based PVR Wheels recorded the highest number of deliveries, they sold 61 units. Bullet remains the most sought after model in the pool, followed by the Classic 350.
