JLR sales had a reassuring climb up in Q2
Tata Motors Group posted decent global wholesales in Q2, FY22. The manufacturer sold 2,51,689 units in Q2-across the PV and CV segments. This, in fact, marks a good 24% growth over Q2, FY21.
Going for the detailed breakdown, the passenger vehicles arm sold 1,62,634 units in total- including JLRs, and CJLRs. This is a good 11% higher than the figures of the previous period. Jaguar Land Rover posted net sales of 78,251 units globally, translating to 64,032 JLR units and 14,219 units from the JLR-Chery JV. (Known as CJLR, this joint venture with Chery Automobiles is an unconsolidated subsidiary for JLR). Going deeper, a total of 13,944 Jaguars were sold globally during the period and 64,307 Land Rovers found buyers as well.
The global wholesales of Tata motors’ commercial vehicles grew by 57% in Q2, FY22. Tata CVs and Tata Daewoo range together posted sales of 89,055 units.
