Tata Nexon Gets 4 New Variants With New Colour And More Features

Tata Nexon has also hit its 3 lakh production milestone.

Tata Motors has rolled out 3 lakh units of Nexon from its Ranjangaon facility in Pune and celebrating the same, has now added four new variants to the top trims of India’s favourite compact SUV. The Nexon gets more features and a new colour with the update and is currently available in a total of 40 different variants/editions (22 in diesel and 18 in petrol).

The new trims are priced between Rs. 10.86 lakhs and Rs. 12.23 lakhs; and are available with both petrol and diesel powertrains. Tata has also added a new shade of Royal Blue to the SUV. Bookings are underway across all Tata Motors authorized dealerships and the official website. The new variants are also available in the Dark range and in the recently launched Kaziranga edition as well.

The new variants –  XZ+ (P) / XZA+ (P), XZ+ (HS) and XZA+ (HS) are available with both petrol and diesel engines and manual and automatic transmissions. These get premium feature additions like ventilated seats with Benecke Kaliko Leatherette upholstery (We had seen Benecke Kaliko previously on the Safari), air purifiers, and auto dimming rearview mirrors. The HS variants will feature just an additional air purifier over its lower variant.

Tata Nexon, India’s first GNCAP five-star rated car for safety, had crossed 2 lakh production milestone in June 2021, which means the Indian manufacturer sold an additional 100K units of Nexon in less than eight months!

Nexon has also become a market leader in the EV passenger car segment. Tata Motors claims 13,500 units of Nexon EVs have been sold in India, and with an overall market share of over 62%.
