Expect the Ultraviolette F77 to launch in March
Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive has teased the highly anticipated Ultraviolette F77 Electric Motorcycle in a video. The video released on the official YT channel shows the motorcycle in detail. The performance motorcycle with a futuristic design is scheduled for market launch in March 2022.
Ultraviolette F77 will be available in three colourways: Airstrike, Shadow, and Laser. Unveiled in November 2019 and originally expected to hit the market in 2020, the F77 had got delayed following the roadblocks caused by the pandemic.
The motorcycle is built on a steel trellis frame, suspended on inverted front forks and a rear mono shock, has 17-inch wheels with 110/70 and 150/60 section tyres, and comes with dual disc brakes, dual-channel ABS, and an efficient regen among other things. It also features three selectable ride modes, reverse assist, all-LED lights, and a TFT Display.'
Under its skin, the F77 gets a powerful 25 kW (33.5 hp) electric motor powered by a battery mechanism comprising three interconnected battery packs. The torque rating of this motor is 90 Nm at the motor and a whopping 450 Nm at the wheel, thanks to the single reduction gear mechanism and the capable chain drive. The F77 will do the 0-100 km/h run in just 7.5 seconds and would have a top speed of 147 km/h.
The manufacturer claims a total range of 130-150 km, with all three battery packs fully charged. The battery mechanism has a net capacity of 4.5 kWh and will take 5 hours for a full charge from a standard outlet and 1.5 hours via a DC fast charger.
Like other modern-day EVs, Ultraviolette F77 will also have high degrees of localization gone into its manufacturing. Even the battery pack on use would be locally sourced. The production is soon to begin and more details are expected to surface soon.
