2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R Launched In India At 79.90 Lakh

Much like its predecessor, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R draws its power from a 998cc, 4 cylinder engine.

Kawasaki India has launched the 2021 Ninja H2R in the country. If you would remember, the H2R is a track-only motorcycle from the manufacturer that sits at the top of its Ninja range. The bike comes with a few tweaks for 2021 and is priced at INR 79.90 lakh, marking a hike of over 4 lakh, from its previous ex-showroom price tag of INR 75.80 lakh. The bike has now been listed on the Kawasaki India website.

Design:

The 2021 H2R gets minimal design deviations from its predecessor. It still comes in a single shade of Mirror Coated Matte Spark Black. The overall design remains unchanged and there are things like the familiar sharp front fairing, aerodynamic winglets, single-sided swingarm, rider-only saddle, etc present on the new bike as well. The H2R gets 17-inch alloy wheels with racing rubber (120/600 front and 190/650 rear) on.

Specifications:

The powertrain gets minimal changes as well. The H2R gets the same 998cc, liquid cooled, inline-4 supercharged engine, as the previous bike. This engine lets out 310 PS (14,000 rpm) and 165 Nm (12,500 rpm). However, with Ram air, the power figures jump to a whopping 326 hp! 95 Octane (RON95) fuel or higher is what the Ninja H2R runs on.

The transmission on offer is a 6-speed dog-ring unit, with its roots in MotoGP and Formula 1. It gets slipper and assist clutch and a bi-directional quick shifter. The H2R gets 330mm, 4 piston caliper Brembo’s dual discs at the front and a 250mm, 2 piston caliper, a single disc from Brembo at the rear. The motorcycle has a net weight of 216 kilograms. Suspension on the H2R consists of 43 mm inverted front forks, and a gas-charged Ohlins rear mono-shock.

Features:

In terms of electronics, the all new H2R gets the likes of an efficient traction control, wheelie and slide control, engine brake control etc packed into what the manufacturer calls the ‘Kawasaki Cornering Management Function’. The H2R’s Bosch-sourced IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) displays the bank angles and the related information on the digital instrumentation.

Even today, there are no direct rivals for the H2R in the country.
