Range Rover Evoque now gets a new Deep Garnet and Ebony interior colourway
Jaguar Land Rover India had launched the new generation Range Rover Evoque in February 2020. The carmaker has now silently pushed in the MY21 Evoque into the Indian market. 2021 Range Rover Evoque is priced from Rs 64.12 lakh onwards and the deliveries have already begun. The price is in fact, a good 5 lakh more than the MY20 car which was priced at Rs 59 lakh, ex-sh.
2021 Range Rover Evoque: What Is It?
Much about the 2021 Evoque remains the same as the second-gen car launched last year. As we had told you back then, the new Evoque comes with a host of changes on the exterior and inside the cabin. The styling now stands closer to that of the larger Velar. The S and SE R Dynamic have distinctive design differentiations. Key exterior highlights include the new LED headlamps, bold body lines, signature silhouette, 18-inch wheels, ‘flush door handles’ etc.
The cabin of the second generation Evoque differs distinctly from that of the first. The Gen 2 gets many additional features like an all-new steering wheel design, 12.3-inch instrumentation screen, two 10 inch touchscreens on the center console (one of which is for infotainment of course), Pivi Pro infotainment system, Clear Sight Rear View Mirror, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, etc.
However, the 2021 Evoque gets a new interior colorway called Deep Garnet/ Ebony, which further ups the ante of the cabin aesthetics.
Engines And Transmissions
The Range Rover Evoque 2021 is powered by the latest generation Ingenium engines from Land Rover. Almost nothing seems to have changed on the mechanical front, from the second-generation car. The 2.0L petrol engine makes 247 hp and 365 Nm, while the 2.0L diesel produces 201 hp and 430 Nm. Both the engines come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The diesel mill can be had on the Evoque S alone.
You can read our previous story to find out the exact areas where the Evoque S and R Dynamic SE differ, of which almost everything except the cabin colorway remains unchanged on the MY21 car as well.
The 2021 Range Rover follows a number of other recent launches from JLR, like Range Rover Sport SVR, Range Rover Velar and the new Jaguar F Pace.
