The 2023 Lexus RX hybrid SUV has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 95.80 lakh for the Lexus RX350h and goes up to Rs. 1.18 crore for the RX500h F-Sport+ variant. Lexus India unveiled the new RX in India at the Auto Expo 2023, earlier this year.

2023 Lexus RX350h Specifications

The Lexus RX offers a choice between two different powertrain options. The first one, the RX350h Luxury, runs on a 2.5-liter petrol engine that works together with an electric motor to deliver 250 hp and 242 Nm. It comes with an all-wheel drive system as standard, which enables it to accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in a claimed time of 7.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour.

2023 Lexus RX500h F Sport Plus Specifications

The second SUV, the higher-performance RX500h F-Sport+, comes with a 2.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. With the help of the electric motor, it generates a total output of 371 hp and 460 Nm. Like the RX350h, it also has an all-wheel drive system as standard, which allows it to complete the 0-100kph sprint in a claimed 6.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 210kph.

Lexus has equipped the new RX with a nickel-metal hydride battery, which has a voltage of 259.2V for the RX350h and 288V for the RX500h.

2023 Lexus RX350h And RX500h F Sport+: What’s New?

The new Lexus RX follows the automaker’s Alluring X Verve design philosophy and is inspired from the ‘spindle body’ appearance of the recently launched RZ electric SUV. F-Sport body kit For the RX500h model features some visual differences from the standard version. While the regular model features chrome accents on the exterior, the F-Sport version comes with piano black accents. In terms of dimensions, the RX measures 4,890 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. RX retains the same length and height of the previous generation model, but is now 25 mm wider and has a 60 mm longer wheelbase.

The RX is equipped with several advanced features, including a heads-up display, a 14-inch touchscreen, a wireless charger, and wireless Apple CarPlay. However, Android Auto requires a wired connection. The vehicle comes with a panoramic sunroof and is also available in three interior color options: Black, Dark Sepia, and Solis White. There are also two trim options to choose from, including sumi woodgrain and medium bamboo brown.

The fifth-generation Lexus RX is positioned as a competitor to the Mercedes-Benz GLE, which ranges from Rs. 90.90 lakh to Rs. 1.09 crore for its diesel models.. Other competitors of the RX include the BMW X5, which is priced between Rs. 98.50 lakh and Rs. 99.90 lakh, the Jeep Grand Cherokee at Rs. 78.50 lakh, the Range Rover Velar at Rs. 89.41 lakh, the Jaguar F-Pace at Rs. 77.41 lakh, and the Audi Q7 at Rs. 84.70 lakh to Rs. 92.30 lakh.
