Koenigsegg is making all the right moves and has hired the guy whose resume includes crucial design roles at Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Genesis.
Alexander (Sasha) Selipanov has been appointed as the Head of Design at Koenigsegg. The Swedish carmaker has made the official announcement on its press site along with a brief overview of the new crew member. Sasha’s resume is mighty impressive and the major highlight has to be his term at Bugatti as Head of Exterior Design.
After graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Sasha moved to Volkswagen in 2005. Later he had a brief association with Lamborghini during which the designer got to be a part of the Huracan’s development.
His career took a giant leap forward when Bugatti appointed Sasha as the Head of Exterior Design, Creative. The stint saw him contributing to the exterior design of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo and the Bugatti Chiron.
In 2017, Sasha moved to Genesis as Head of Global Advanced Design. The fabulous-looking Genesis Essentia and Genesis Mint concepts came out in sensational fashion, thanks to his leadership.
Along with his recent move to Koenigsegg as the Head of Design, Sasha will be taking the role of the Managing Director and Chief Designer at the newly established RAW Design House in Ängelholm, Sweden.
The designer will report for duties at both establishments in October 2019. We hope to see some magnificent cars coming from Sasha in the coming years.
