The manufacturer has also launched a service-at-doorstep concept called EZServe
In an effort to expand its service network in the country, Tata Motors has opened 160 new service workshops, taking the total number of touchpoints to 705. Tata now has service coverage across 485 cities in India, and has serviced 30% more cars this fiscal, compared to the previous one.
The homegrown carmaker has also introduced a new two-wheeler-based service-at-doorstep concept named EZServe aimed at more customer retention. It will provide basic service, quick repairs, and resolution of concerns at the preferred locations of Tata car owners. The concept will also help customers save time and effort by providing low-cost annual maintenance schemes, said Tata Motors in a statement.
Every EzServe unit consists of three utility boxes mounted on a motorcycle tail. Technicians have access to spare parts, a vacuum cleaner, a jack & jack stand, and several hand tools. Every technician working in the EzServe fleet will carry proper ID cards and be skilled to resolve most possible issues.
Tata Motors has also digitized the process of registering repair orders at workshops. Service Connect App available to customers will offer contactless service support such as service booking, vehicle pick-up requests, updates on vehicle repair status, viewing of repair estimates for scheduled and frequent jobs, etc.
The app can also be used for vehicle servicing and locating authorized dealers/service centers. Other services are available on the app: extended warranty, annual maintenance contracts (value care), and 24×7 roadside assistance support.
