Kia Sonet is awaiting an imminent launch in India and it seems people are already excited about the same!
Kia Motors India is all set to bring in their third product for the country. The sub-four made-in-India SUV christened Sonet would have its market launch sometime in mid-September. The car had recently made its global premiere in India and we had brought more details of the same to you as well. The carmaker had started taking in bookings for the Sonet on AUG 20. It now turns out that the SUV has generated an immense amount of zeal among the Indian buyers, as it gathered around 6523 bookings on the first day itself!
The Sonet stands out from the rest of the players with its unique design, the abundance of equipment on offer and the peppy engine-gearbox combos. The vehicle would have the latest generation UVO Connect with Voice Assist among many other pieces of equipment. The Sonet would also have a flashier GT line, quite like its elder sibling, the Seltos.
There are three engine and five transmission options on offer on the Sonet, viz- 1.2L petrol, 1.0L three-cylinder T-GDi turbo petrol, and 1.5L CRDi diesel, along with 5MT, 6MT, 7DCT, 6AT and iMT. The Sonet would be the second car in India to have the iMT and a first from Kia. There won’t be any compromise on the safety front either as the Sonet would have the likes of six airbags, ABS, EBS, ESC, HAC, VSM, brake assist, etc.
No big details of the Kia Sonet price in India have yet been disclosed, but we expect it to be on par with that of the Hyundai Venue, which happens to be its brother from another mother. You could now book your Sonet at any Kia dealership or through their official website by paying INR 25000.
