Here’s everything to know about the upcoming Delhi Motor Show
The biennial automotive event of India has made a return after a two-year hiatus, thanks to the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year marks the 16th edition of the Auto Expo, and the event is organised by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) at the India Expo Mart, located near JP Golf Course in Greater Noida, UP. The Auto Expo Component Show, which is dedicated to the Indian Component Industry, will take place at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
2023 Auto Expo: Participating Brands And Hall Numbers
This year’s Auto Expo will have participation from around 114 automotive-related businesses including 48 automotive manufacturers. More weightage seems to have been given to electric mobility startups and newbie EV makers this time. A total of 75 new launches and unveils are expected at Expo 2023, including 5 global premieres. The Component Show will also see some interesting debuts.
A number of auto majors have exciting products and concepts lined up for Motor Show 23. Big names like Hyundai, Benelli, Maruti Suzuki, Kia, MG, Toyota, BYD, SML Isuzu, Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland have confirmed their presence. Electric vehicle manufacturers like Tork, Ultraviolette, Pravaig, Matter, Omega Seiki, Eblu, evtric, MTA EV etc will also have their pavilions this time. Other major exhibitors include Godawari Electric, Sun Mobility, Meta, Cummins, Atul Auto, Ward Wizard, Natrax, iCAT etc.

A number of big names have, however, backed out from taking part in the show this time. Volkswagen Group and its subsidiaries- Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Lamborghini will not partake in Expo 2023. Honda, Nissan, Renault and Jeep will also give it a miss. Major luxury players like Mercedes Benz and BMW will also be absent. Many two-wheeler majors have also opted out. Even popular brands like Hero Motocorp, TVS, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Bajaj have announced that they would be displaying flex fuel prototypes alone, at a separate Ethanol pavilion.
While there is great participation from EV startups and sustainable mobility brands this time, some EV big names have opted out! Ather, OLA, Okinawa, and Hero Electric will not take part.
Dates And Timing
The 2023 Auto Expo will be held from 11-18 January 2023. January 11 and 12 are reserved exclusively for the media, January 13 is slated as business hours, and the rest of the days are open for the general public. The entry at the gates will be closed 1 hour prior to the closing time on all days and entry into halls will be shut 30 minutes before closing time on all days.

The 2023 Auto Expo Component show will be held from 12-15 January 2023. The Tickets for the 2023 Auto Expo can be booked on the ‘Book My Show’ website. Prices start at Rs 350 and vary across days and timings. More details of the same are listed below:
