Sources reveal that Hero Motocorp raised a net revenue of 8686 crores in Q4, 21

We know the Financial Year (FY) 2021 had indeed been a tough one for the automotive industry, with the Coronavirus outbreak and the associated chaos in place. However, Hero Motocorp seems to have reaped fortunes from the pandemic and has closed Q4 on an enthusing note. Hero has increased its market shares in the motorcycles and scooters segments alike.

The company registered a total sales of 15.68 lakh units in Q4 21 alone while the numbers are as big as 58 lakh for the entire FY21 (April 2020 to March 2021) Though the sales were harshly affected by the lockdown during April 2020, the Unlock 2.0 saw the Hero motorcycles and scooters gain momentum in the market. October saw the manufacturer hit an all-time high number of 8.06 lakh units. In November, Hero recorded a double-digit growth, by selling 591,091 units.

The Xpulse ADV has had constant market demands throughout the span. The recent strategic partnership with Harley Davidson essentially meant Hero’s share in the premium bike segment rose quickly. Hero Motocorp is also putting immense focus on the EV space as well. It is actively planning out its EV offerings and also setting up a battery swapping network in India through a partnership with Gogoro.

At 18.45 lakh, even the Q3 figures were quite impressive. As reported by us previously, Hero sold 3.72 lakh units in April 2021, amidst the worsening pandemic crisis. The net revenue from operations for Hero stood at INR 8686 Crores during Q4 21, while that for Q4 20 was 6238 crores, pointing at a fair growth of 39.2%.
