Honda recalls over 65000 units of various models over faulty fuel pump

Honda car owners can check if their car is affected through the carmaker’s official website

Honda Cars India Limited has announced on Friday, 12 June 2020, that they will be recalling over 65000 of their cars from various models due to defective impellers in the fuel pumps. Models manufactured in the year of 2018 is said to be the most affected.

This recall will affect 32,498 units of Amaze, 16,434 units of City, 7,500 units Jazz, 7,057 units of WR-V, 1,622 units of the BR-V, 360 units of the Brio and 180 units of CR-V. Owners will be individually notified if their cars belong to the campaign. The users can also directly check if their cars are affected. Honda car owners can directly check if their vehicles are affected by providing 17 digit VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on the manufacturer’s website.

The replacement of the faulty part will be carried out by dealers across India starting from the 20th of June. The manufacturer has stated that it will be carried out free of cost.
