Overall sales have grown by 8.8% this year
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) registered an annual sales growth of 8.8% in February 2023. A recent Hyundai Sales release shows that both domestic sales and exports have grown by good margins. The company recorded sales of 47,001 units domestically and 10,850 units through exports. The cumulative sales figure for the month of February stands at 57,851 units. Sales growth of 6.7% and 19.1% can be noticed in domestic and export sales respectively.

According to the words of Mr. Tarun Garg, chief operating officer of HMIL, Hyundai Creta has been recording some great sales figures and has reached the benchmark of selling over 8.3 lakhs unit since its launch. The new Ioniq 5, Tucson, Grand i10 Nios and Aura got the attention of Indian customers.

Hyundai Motors India is India’s first smart mobility solutions provider and the biggest car exporter since its arrival in India. Currently, the company sells 12 car models across different segments – Grand i10 Nios, new i20, i20 N Line, Aura, Venue, Venue N Line, new Verna, all-new Creta, Alcazar, new Tuscon, Kona Electric and all-electric SUV Ioniq 5. All the cars are produced and tested at the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Chennai.

HMIL plays a major role in HMC’s global export business to around 85 countries across Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and Asia Pacific. HMIL currently has 583 dealers and 1492 service points in India. They’ve also opened a multi-million dollar R&D facility in Hyderabad.
