The Kia Carnival MPV is available in India in three different variants, all powered by a 2.2L VGT 4 cylinder diesel engine…
We should call this the ‘carnival time’ for Kia Motors India. The manufacturer had recently lifted the veils off its all-new MPV offering, the Kia Carnival India spec. We had recently gotten to drive it in Hyderabad as well. You should have read our extensive coverage of the same in a previous post on this site…
Kia had recently opened pre-bookings for this offering, that is expected to be placed well above the Toyota Innova post the 2020 Auto Expo launch. That leaves us shocked now is the news that the Kia Carnival booking figures have crossed the 1400 units mark on day 1! This is how the Indians welcome an upcoming luxury van…'
Kia Carnival will have three different trims to choose from, viz- Premium, Prestige and Limousine. There will be 7,8 and 9 seating configurations available as well. The ‘Kia Carnival Limousine’ packs oodles of tech, equipment and best in class space into one alluring package. Records say that it is the Limousine trim that has garnered over 64 per cent of the total bookings.
Talking about the specifications, the Kia Carnival gets a 2.2L VGT four-cylinder diesel engine, strong enough to let out 200 hp and 440 Nm, under its hood. It comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic box as well.
It seems Kia Motors India is as much excited as we are, about the warm welcome that the Kia Carnival top model, the Limousine, has managed to amass. The vehicle can be pre-booked here, by paying a token amount of INR 1,00,000. The actual price would, however, be revealed post the official launch at the Auto Expo 2020.
