Nissan recently teased us with some images of the prototype undergoing tests in Japan

NIssan had revealed its upcoming compact SUV concept earlier in July. The vehicle, dubbed Magnite looked quite interesting and had amassed much anticipation back then. Nissan India has now announced that it would unveil the production guise of the Magnite on October 21. The B segment SUV, in its production guise, is expected to be quite similar to the concept. The carmaker has also released a number of images showing the prototype being tested at Nissan’s Tochigi Proving ground in Japan. It was here that the legendary GTR and the new age Ariya had earlier been put to test.

The Nissan Magnite SUV is hoped to offer an impressive array of features and equipment. The likes of an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, around view monitor, cruise control, etc are expected. A turbo 1.0L petrol engine, capable of putting out 95 hp is expected to be offered along with a CVT transmission.

The Nissan Magnite will go against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV 300, and Ford Ecosport. There is, as of now, no clue on the pricing of the Magnite. However, we expect it to start somewhere around 5.30 lakh.
