Kia EV9 Breaks Cover Ahead Of Market Launch

The production form retains most design cues of the concept EV

Kia Motors has unveiled the production form of its newest electric SUV- Kia EV9, ahead of its market launch later this year. The production-ready form looks almost identical to the concept displayed at the Auto Expo in Delhi.

Kia has retained most of the exterior details of the concept. The boxy-styled EV9 gets a futuristic exterior theme. The front fascia of the e-SUV gets a digitalized theme, with a closed panel replacing the conventional radiator grille. Sharp LEDs are placed vertically along with ‘Star Map’ DRLs. The side profile is neat, with door handles integrated seamlessly into the door panels.

Another noticeable design bit is the unique alloy wheel design. The roof complements the body colour and creates a floating roof vibe. Vertically placed large, sharp LED taillights are also to be noted. As Kia claims, the EV9 is based on the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. It is said to be an amalgamation of characteristics of nature and modernity. The EV9 is built on the E-GMP platform, making it sleek and bold at the same time.
