Nexon Max reaches 19.024ft above sea level
Tata Nexon EV has been a hot-shot in India’s EV space. The electric SUV had recently gotten an extended range version- Nexon EV Max- a noteworthy improvement over the previous car and something that is rising to huge acceptance. We had detailed how capable and interesting the EV Max is, in our first drive review.
Now, things get more exciting, as the Tata Nexon EV Max has set a new record by scaling the world’s highest motorable road at Umling La Pass. This pass in Ladakh is situated at a height of 19,024 Ft above sea level and the Nexon EV Max becomes the very first EV to get here! The SUV has entered the India Book of Records for the same. The achievement is proof of the efficiency of Max’s powertrain and its thermal management. The record run started from Leh and reached its destination on September 18, 2022. And look at that mad driver pulling off a sandstorm!
Tata’s flagship electric SUV gets a powerful 40.5kWh battery pack and a 143PS electric motor. The setup gives a 0-100 kph time of under 9 seconds, and overall range of 437 kilometers. AC charging can be done in 6.5 hours through the 7.2 kW charger and DC charging requires around 56 minutes.
