To be unveiled on April 29th
Update: Mahindra releases second teaser showing XUV 3XO’s interior
The upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift will get a new name. The Indian carmaker has released the first official teaser of the product, revealing the new name- Mahindra XUV 3XO (pronounced three-ex-oh). The new SUV will be unveiled on April 29, 2024. Mahindra had recently filed trademarks for the names ‘7XO’ and ‘3XO’ indicating a new nomenclature system for its SUVs.
The XUV300 has been on sale in India for over 5 years and this would be its biggest update ever. The facelift aka ‘XUV 3XO’ will host extensive changes in styling and cabin design. Several test mules have been spotted over time, indicating a comprehensive design overhaul. The official teaser has just confirmed the same to be true.
Expected Changes On Mahindra XUV 3XO
The video released by Mahindra shows most of the key design cues of the 3XO. There will be extensive revisions on the front fascia and at the rear. It will borrow a lot of styling cues from the upcoming BE range of vehicles. Expect a sportier front fascia incorporating new LED projector headlamps, parted air intakes, a refreshed grill, stylish drop-down LED DRLs and a new bumper. The side profile will also have design tweaks including a new set of all alloy wheels.
There will be extensive design changes at the rear. The vehicle will come with a new tailgate design, angular windshield, stylish C-shaped LED tail lamps, full width LED light bar and a new rear bumper. The teaser video also shows a good-looking Metallic Yellow colourway.
The cabin is also expected to come with notable reworks. The blunt, uninteresting design of the outgoing vehicle will make way for a more premium cabin design incorporating premium trims and interesting features. Expect new HVAC vents, a redesigned dashboard, a new centre console, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital instrumentation, new audio equipment (probably by Sony) and a panoramic sunroof (segment-first).
