The Kia Sonet 2021 has become even more appealing by offering desirable features even on the lower variants!
The Sonet subcompact SUV was the third product of Kia India (Check out our Sonet review). It has been a highly successful volume seller for the Korean brand here, ever since its launch in September 2020. Following its rebranding in the country, Kia India has given the Sonet a significant update here. The new car gets a total of 10 changes including some segment-first additions. 2021 Kia Sonet is priced from 6.79 lakh, and the fully-loaded variant comes to you for 13.25 lakh, ex showroom.
Kia Sonet 2021: Changes To Spot
Much like the refreshed Seltos, the new Sonet too gets Kia’s new logo. Two new automatic variants have also joined the game- the HTX 7DCT (1.0T-GDI Petrol) and HTX 6AT (1.5 Diesel). The all-new Sonet gets paddle shifters on all automatic variants, a first-in its segment. The car also gets sunshade curtains at the rear, something that would soon be adored by the customers of this class. Plus, the UVO Connect now gets voice commands for Sunroof open/close.
Much like what we had seen in the case of the new Seltos, there has been a redistribution of features across the variants, in the all-new Sonet as well. Many lower variants are now equipped with various highly desirable features like multi-drive modes, traction modes, sunroof, smart key, remote engine start, chromed door handles, crystal cut alloys, etc. Safety equipment like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC), etc have also been made available on the lower variants.
