Ducati’s scrambler range for 2021 gets three new models
Ducati India has revamped its much sought-after scrambler range for 2021. The Ducati Scrambler BS6 range now gets three new motorcycles- the Scrambler Icon, Icon Dark, and the 1100 Dark Pro. The MY21 Scrambler range starts at INR 7.99 lakh (Ex.showroom). The new range of Scramblers has become more contemporary, feature-packed, comfortable, and safer than its previous generations.
The Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark is the entry ticket to the Scrambler family. Priced at INR 7.99 lakh, the Scrambler Icon Dark is the most affordable Scrambler on sale here. Despite being on the cheaper side, the Scrambler Icon Dark does not miss out on the true Scrambler genes. It gets the iconic styling of the 800 range and a catchy Matte Black paint scheme. It gets the same 803cc engine as the Scrambler Icon.
The Scrambler icon is the most iconic model of the lot. Priced at 8.49 lakh, the Scrambler Icon boasts of revised aesthetics and added features. The bike has the familiar teardrop-shaped fuel tank with changeable panels, wide-set handlebar, flat seat, and a new paint scheme. There have also been a number of additions to the features and equipment lists as well, including the likes of a softer hydraulic clutch, a new set of DRLs, ergonomic switchgear for the LCD instrumentation and a new multimedia system. The BS6 Scrambler Icon comes powered by a revised 803cc air-cooled L-Twin engine and even gets a reworked suspension setup.
The Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO could be considered the gateway to the mightier Scrambler 1100 range. Ducati India had launched two models of this range-the Scrambler 1100 Pro and 1100 Sport Pro, in the early BS6 era. The Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO now joins this clan and makes for the most affordable offering of the range.
The Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO gets dark stealth livery to add to its design which already looks butch. The bike looks quite similar to its elder 1100cc siblings. Scrambler Dark PRO gets a mighty 1079cc engine and a handsome 15L tank that would make for comfortable long-distance touring. It also gets technologies like Ducati Traction Control, cornering ABS, and selectable riding modes. It bears a price tag of INR 10.99 lakh in India.
Ducati India has already begun taking in bookings for all the three bikes and the deliveries are known to begin from Jan 28, 2021.
