The Endeavour Sport remains mechanically unchanged and costs around INR 65000 more than the Titanium Plus 4*4
Ford India has launched an aesthetically beefed-up version of the Endeavour SUV, dubbed the Sport Edition. Based on the Endeavour Titanium+ 4*4, the Sport edition has a lot of black on it. The vehicle looks butch with its smoked headlamps, blacked-out alloys, a new black honeycomb grille and blackened inserts. The Endeavour Sport is available in three colours- Absolute Black, Diamond White and Diffused Silver.
Ford has, however, limited the cosmetic upgrades to the exterior alone. The cabin remains the same as the standard car. It still gets the grey-beige dual-tone colour scheme and quite a number of equipment as well. The large panoramic sunroof is another talking point of the new-age Endeavour and remains unchanged in the Sport too.
There are no mechanical changes in the Endeavour Sport either. The SUV comes powered by the new BS6 compliant 2.0 liter diesel engine that puts out 170 hp, mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. AWD is standard on the car. The Endeavour Sport bears a price tag of INR 35.10 lakh, which is approximately INR 65000 more than the Titanium Plus 4*4.
The Ford Endeavour Sport goes against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, and the upcoming MG Gloster. We are also expecting a BS6 compliant Isuzu MUX to further add to the competition.
