Honda Two Wheelers seems to have boarded the bandwagon by opening an online booking portal for its models.
In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, Honda 2Wheelers follows the same initiative as its competitors Hero and Suzuki, to offer an all-online purchase experience for its customers. While the restrictions are slowly being erased by the government, the motorcycle industry has not been able to sell many motorcycles as they expected. This was mostly due to a significant fall in the number of walk-in customers to the dealerships. Honda has intervened at the right time with the appropriate solution to make contactless purchases of its motorcycles in India possible.
The process of making a booking through their website is pretty transparent. Once you have finalized the model and variant of the motorcycle, you are supposed to enter your credentials, PAN number along with your mobile number will be verified via an email, following which you can remit a booking token of Rs 1999. The manufacturer assures that the booking amount is fully refundable in case of cancelation.
This online service will let you select the motorcycle, variant, color, and the dealership from where you want to purchase your motorcycle or scooter. Honda’s line up in India is of 6 motorcycles – the CD 110 Dream, Livo, Shine, SP125, Unicorn, X-Blade – and four scooters, the Activa 6G, Activa 125, Dio and Grazia. After the nationwide lockdown in May, Honda has seen steady growth in their sales, but with the introduction of such an online service would help them attain more in terms of sales momentum.
