Honda Xblade BS6 Launched At 1.06 Lakh.

The Honda Xblade BS6 is available in two variants

Honda motorcycles has launched its BS6 compliant X blade variants in India. Xblade for 2020 is available in two variants- Single disc and Dual disc variant, at an ex-showroom price tag of 1.06 Lk and 1.11 Lk respectively. The new model of X blade is the sixth BS6 offering of Honda for the Indian market following the new Unicorn.

The updated motorcycle is powered by an engine with slightly more torque than the model it replaces. X blade is now powered by a 162.7cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected producing 13.86hp at 8,000rpm and 14.7Nm at 5,500rpm.

In addition to the mechanical updates, X-blade now hosts a lot of cosmetic changes too. The overall design is not altered by the updates but Honda has made some tweaks in the styling. The fuel tank shrouds are now finished with the same color as the rest of the bike and the tail section gets new graphics. A sleeker belly pan, headlamp and LED tail lamp further compliments the styling of the bike. Honda has also added an engine kill switch for this year’s model along with a hazard lamp switch.

The motorcycle still features the same diamond frame with a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock which is carried over from the previous model. A 276mm disc at the front is featured as a standard option and 220mm disc brake or 130mm drum at the rear are the options that Honda has to offer for the buyers. Both models offer a single-channel ABS as standard for the safety side. Single disc variant is 143 kgs heavy and the double-disc variant is a kilo heavier weighing in at 144 kgs.

X-blade is honda’s answer to the highly competitive 160cc segment. X-blade directly contends against the interests of TVS apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha Fz v3.0, and the all-new Hero Xtreme 160R. Xblade has now offered a disc variant, which implies that Honda is actually listening to its customers and this will help honda to get a better grip in this competitive section.
