Honda Reveals The Long Awaited CMX 1100 Rebel.

Here’s the all new bobber from Honda Motorcycles- the CMX 1100 Rebel!

Following the suit of the CMX 500 Rebel, Honda reveals the big, bold CMX 1100 Rebel globally. A classic bare bone bobber with modern nuts and bolts, is how to describe it in the minimum number of words.

The A2 license-friendly 500cc twin-cylinder CMX 500 Rebel was launched in 2017. The bike sure had made the enthusiasts go woohoo! Honda had done magic with the bike, fusing tradition with revolutionary new ideas, which attracted a lot of young bikers, for whom a motorcycle is much more than just a way of commute.

Fast forward to 2020, and Honda takes the essence of the smaller CMX500 Rebel, adds more performance, more character and more advanced technologies to it and we have the CMX1100 Rebel!

The motorcycle uses a 1084cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine, derived from the latest Africa Twin, tuned to match up the characteristics of the CMX1100. In the new state of tune, this engine sure makes the low and mid-ranges very punchy. The engine now delivers a healthy 85 bhp at 7500rpm and 98 Nm of torque at 4750 rpm. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual or the 6-speed DCT gearbox.

Built on the stiff tubular steel frame, the front suspension is handled by 43mm cartridge-style forks and twin rear shocks. The radial-mounted four-piston front caliper and rear single piston calipered 256mm disc managed by ABS do the braking jobs.

The bare bone motorcycle has some trickery rolled up the sleeves, including, a Throttle By Wire (TBW) management system integrated with 3 default riding modes and a customizable mode, three levels of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), wheelie control, and cruise control. Sorry to say but the CMX1100 Rebel will not make it to India, at least not anytime soon …
