The new Land Rover Defender 110 is not only a tough offroader, but a tough-build as well
The Land Rover Defender 110, one of the toughest offroaders in production today, lives up to its lagacy, and has proved it brawn in ithe crash tets as well! Euro-NCAP had recently put to test, the crashworthiness of the new Defender, in which the vehicle scored a full 5 star rating! The SUV scored 85% in adult and child occupants safety, while the pedestrian safety and safety aids stood at 71% and 79%, respectively. Very impressive!
Plenty of safety features are offered in the new Defender, the six airbags, three ISOFIX mounting points, autonomous emergency braking, 3D surround camera, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear collision monitor, rear traffic monitor etc to just name a few.
The new Land Rover Defender 110 was launched in India in October 2020. Albeit the internationally Defender being offered with four cylinder diesel as well as six cylinder petrol and diesel variants, the Indian-spec gets only a 2.0L four-cylinder ingenium petrol engine producing 300hp and 400Nm of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic box. Four-wheel drive and air suspension come as standard offerings on this Britush SUV, with prices starting at Rs. 79.9 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India).
