Land Rover Defender Named Supreme Winner Women’s World Car Of The Year 2021!

The all new Land Rover Defender is also the ‘Best Medium SUV for 2021’ as well

Land Rover Defender has been amassing quite a number of international awards and recognitions since its global debut. The SUV has now added another feather to its crown, by becoming the supreme winner of Women’s World Car Of The Year 2021. It is the first time that a Land Rover is winning this title.

The new Defender truly lives up to its name on all fronts. Even while being visually appealing and feature-packed, it is as capable as its iconic predecessor. These traits sure seem to have impressed the Women’s World Car Of The Year (WWCOTY) jury as well. The WWCOTY is, by the way, the only awards with an all-women jury panel. With women journalists from 38 countries across the world, this recognition is much respected worldwide.

Another recent recognition for the Defender has been that of the Best Medium SUV 2021, to coincide with the flair of the WWCOTY award. The new Defender comes in both the 90 and 110 configurations with the latter getting 5,6 or 5+2 seating options. The SUV draws its power from a set of Ingenium engines and even gets a PHEV guise for the global markets. Should you desire to know more about the new Defender, read this.

The Defender has won as many as 50 global accolades so far, the notable ones being Top Gear’s 2020 Car of the Year, Motortrend’s 2021 SUV of the year and Autocar’s Best SUV 2020
