Omega Seiki Strengthens Its Focus On EV R&D, Signs MoUs With Three Leading Italian Companies

Omega Seiki is planning to do extensive research on EV technology together with these companies

Omega Seiki is quite serious about bringing revolutions in the EV space. We had seen them launch a pair of all-electric cargo three-wheelers in the recent past- the Rage and Rage+, both of which had had great welcomes from the public back then. Later on, we also saw the manufacturer get into contracts with IIT Delhi for research in developing better quality EVs for the future.

What now surface is the news that Omega Seiki Mobility has signed MoUs with three leading Italian engineering design, development and electronics companies in the automotive sector for developing EVs that are powerful, efficient and more practical. The manufacturer has gotten into collabs with the Turin-based Nova Progetti, Bylogix S.R.L and Beond. These firms are into automotive R&D and production. They handle every aspect of automotive manufacturing from design and engineering to serial production.

Founded in 1982 by Renzo Avidano and Mario Colucci, Nova Progetti has the ex-Fiat Stefano Lacoponi working for them and specializes in feasibility studies and design of IC engines, transmissions, EVs, suspensions etc. Bylogix SRL specializes in embedded electronics for vehicles, body computer application, dashboard application, etc. BEON, however, focuses on advanced engineering service and custom battery prototypes solutions for EVs.

These Italian firms have worked with industry bigshots like FCA, GM, IVECO etc in the past and thus have rich pedigrees as well. Omega Seiki is aiming to develop better performing and more efficient EVs with the help of the Italian trio. It is known that the first vehicle to come from this collab would be an all-electric pickup.
