Available in just a single trim level, the Skoda Karoq SUV comes via CBU.
Skoda India has finally launched the much-awaited Karoq SUV here at INR 24.99 lakh. The Karoq slots below the Kodiaq in the lineup and is the cheapest Skoda SUV you can buy today. You could call it a replacement for the popular Skoda Yeti in India, but with a premium in price.
The Skoda Karoq had made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2020. The SUV comes in just one fully loaded trim and via the CBU route. This is the reason you would feel the pricing to be a bit on the premium front. Available in six different paint schemes, the Karoq gets all exciting bits of the day, in terms of design. The overall looks are totally befitting those of a modern Skoda SUV.
Talking about the mechanicals, it is the same 1.5L Evo TSI turbo four-pot petrol mill from the Volkswagen T ROC, that you would find under the hood of the Karoq as well. The power and torque figures are 150PS and 250Nm respectively. Transmission duties are carried out by the familiar 7 speed DSG unit from Volkswagen Group. The SUV comes with as many as nine airbags and a plethora of other safety options.
Equipment on the Karoq includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivities, dual zone climate control, a large panoramic sunroof, premium leather upholstery, power driver seat with memory function etc.
More are expected to come from Skoda soon. The Octavia and Kodiaq are both awaiting their BS6 launches in the country. Also, the Vision IN concept based mid-size SUV is known to launch in early 2021.
