Suzuki Burgman Electric Scooter: Expected Design
The e-Burgman appears quite similar to the regular Burgman Street, which can be easily distinguished by its muscular and bulky front fascia with a centrally mounted headlamp and a pair of indicators on both ends. However, the electric scooter’s blue paint scheme is a smart addition by Suzuki to indicate its electric vehicle identity. The maxi-scooter styling of Burgman is retained.
Suzuki Burgman EV: Specifications
The Jap-spec e-Burgman’s electric motor has a peak power output of 4KW, which is equivalent to 5.36 bhp and 18 Nm of peak torque. However, the scooter features a swappable battery pack, which is quite interesting. The brand claims that the scooter can travel up to 44 kilometres on a single charge, but only if it is ridden at a speed of 60 kmph. These figures, however, are based on Suzuki’s internal testing alone. The two-wheeler has a length of 1825 mm, a width of 765 mm, and a height of 1140 mm. The e-Burgman weighs 147 kg, higher than its competitors.
Suzuki e-Burgman India Launch Plans
The e-Burgman has been unveiled in Japan, and it is anticipated to be launched in India by the end of 2023. The electric scooter is still in the testing phase, and it’s too early to predict its exact launch timeline. The Burgman EV will compete with products such as TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, and the upcoming Honda electric scooter.
