Strict safety regulations have been implemented at the Suzuki Motorcycle plant and its premises
Suzuki Motorcycle India has restarted the operations of their plant in Haryana following a relaxation in the government regulations in the country. The plant now functions with a reduced workforce. The manufacturer had suspended the operations here on March 23, 2020, following the COVID 19 pandemic spread and the associated lockdown.
SMIL has taken great care in ensuring workforce safety at their plant and on its premises during these difficult times. Effective social distancing is being observed among the employees and detailed safety guidelines have been circulated among them. Masks, PPEs, proper and regular sanitization have all been made compulsory in addition to effective social distancing. Special disinfection chambers have been set up to prevent any infection and maintain a safe working environment for the employees.
“As Suzuki Motorcycle India restarts its plant operation, our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees since we continue to fight the battle against Covid-19. At the onset, SMIPL will resume operation with a limited workforce and will gradually shift to full production cycle as per the Government’s directive. We have implemented detailed operating guidelines with an emphasis on social distancing to ensure maximum precautions are taken by all our employees. In order to overcome the challenges faced due to the ongoing situation, we also believe that it is necessary that we all stay together in high spirits by continuing to motivate each other”
