The Tata Signa 4825.TK is a 16 wheeler that can haul payloads of upto 47.5 tonne!
Tata Motors is among the leading CV manufacturers in the country. Tata has now come up with India’s largest tipper truck, designed specifically for surface transport applications. Branded as Tata Signa 4825.TK, the 16 wheeler multi-axle tipper truck can haul up to 47.5 tonnes of payload in its 29 cubic meter box load bay. The vehicle will find widespread applications in coal mines and other construction sites.
The Tata Signa 4825.TK is designed to maximize productivity and minimize the total cost of ownership. The vehicle has a relatively fast turnaround potential, taken into consideration its gross weight and size. The truck has been designed to enhance driver safety and comfort as well.
The Signa 4825.TK comes powered by a 6.7L BS6 compliant engine from Cummins, that can put out 250hp and 950Nm. The torque comes in from as low as 1000-1700 rpm for faster turnaround. The transmission unit is a 9-speed heavy-duty G1150 box with an organic clutch of 430mm diameter. The gear ratios are tuned for better fuel efficiency and more effective surface transportation.
The tipper truck gets air conditioned cabin, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, spacious sleeper cabin, 3 way mechanically adjustable driver seat, easy shift gears etc to boost driver convenience. On the technology front, it has the Hill Start Assist (HSA), engine brake, iCGT brake etc. There are also sensors onboard to detect and prevent any possible toppling while tipping.
